Liverpool announce 2 player exits

English Premier League

It has been confirmed that another two players have left Premier League giants Liverpool in this window.

Young midfielder Leighton Clarkson has joined Championship outfit Blackburn Rovers on a season-long loan.

The 19-year-old netted three goals in 14 matches during the Premier League 2 campaign last season and also featured in the UEFA Champions League against Midtjylland.

Clarkson will now get some more senior minutes at Rovers this campaign in the Championship, as Harvey Elliott did last season.

Elliott registered seven goals and 11 assits in 41 Championship appearances for Rovers last campaign.

The Reds also confirmed that defender Ben Davies has joined Sheffield United on a season-long loan in the Championship.

Davies joined Jurgen Klopp's men in the January 2021 transfer window from Preston North End following their injury crisis, but is yet to feature for the Reds' first team.
