Mashaba visits Carling coaches

The national team coach joined the 58 SAFA C-Level candidates at the Sandton Sports Club as they were educated on the importance of leadership as a coach, as well as basic movement skills required of a modern footballer.
Mashaba gave his full support to the Carling Black Label Coach the Coaches programme, saying that this is one of many programmes that are required to take South African football to the next level.

“Coaching is a critical factor in our football. There has been a very strong focus on player development, but this cannot be done successfully if we do not equip and train our coaches accordingly," Mashaba said.

"Programmes such as these are critical in assisting us in improving the standards of football in our country.”
Earlier this week the coaches were taken through alcohol abuse training. The lectures continued with in-depth discussions led by senior SAFA coaching instructor Steve Coetzee on team tactics and match analysis to further equip the Champion coaches.
The Carling Black Label Coach the Coaches programme will be concluded on Sunday, 10 November.
