Struggle icon Kathrada died this morning at the age of 87, with SAFA president Danny Jordaan later paying his respects to the Rivonia trialist.
On Sunday Bloemfontein Celtic announced the passing of their 83-year-old honorary life president Molemela, whose funeral is set for next week.
SAFA released a statement, which reads: 'A moment of silence will be observed in the international friendly match between Bafana Bafana and Angola at Buffalo City Stadium in East London tonight (Tuesday, 28 March 2017).
'This will be in remembrance of the late liberation struggle icon Ahmed Kathrada who passed away this morning as well former Bloemfontein Celtic owner Dr. Petrus “Whitehead” Molemela who lost his life on Sunday, 26 March 2017.
'The players will be wearing black armbands to honour the fallen stalwarts.
'Meanwhile the kickoff for the Bafana Bafana vs Angola clash has been pushed to later – the match will start at 19h15 instead of the initial 19h00.'
