Nigeria suffer injury blow before Bafana clash

Uzoho, 20, made his senior international debut for the Super Eagles in October last year.

He's since emerged as the African giants first-choice stopper, amassing 13 caps since his bow during the 4-2 win over Argentina.

And his absence will be seen as a major blow after Spanish outfit Elche confirmed he'll be out for a month due to an untimely rib injury.

The eccentric keeper has been replaced by Enyimba's Theophilus Afelokhai for the upcoming encounter against Stuart Baxter's side on 17 November.

Injury has also ruled out experienced Ogenyi Onazi, along with Wilfried Ndidi and John Obi Mikel's absence due to suspension and leave of absence respectively - ahead of the fierce encounter with Bafana Bafana at the FNB Stadium.

Victory for either side will seal qualification to next year's continental showpiece in Cameroon.
