Modiba: No breathing space for Bafana

Bafana are in camp to start preparing for Saturday’s qualifier at FNB Stadium, a month after playing to a goalless draw with Libya at Moses Mabhida Stadium.

Modiba, who is a late call-up to the national team, knows that Seychelles will not lie down and play dead, so Bafana need to work hard for the maximum points which could potentially put them on top of Group E.

“These are crucial games for us, must-win games for us because we are level on points with Libya on four points. So these are the games where we need to collect maximum points. A draw will not help us, so six points is a must for us to collect,” Modiba tells

“We are going to fight for that, but we know that it’s not going to be easy because countries who play against Bafana always want to beat us and they make sure that they work hard. We have to work harder than them and we need to want it more than them.”
