New PSG boss on Neymar's future

World News

With Neymar linked with a move to a new club, newly appointed Paris Saint-Germain manager Christophe Galtier has commented on the Brazilian's future.

Neymar faces an uncertain future in the French capital, with reports suggesting that PSG are waiting on a suitable offer to part ways with their record-breaking signing, who arrived from FC Barcelona for an unprecedented fee of €222 million (R3.7 billion) in 2017.

The attacker has been linked with his former club Barca, as well as Premier League quartet Chelsea, Manchester City, Manchester United and Newcastle United in recent weeks.

The No. 10's agents have approached new Blues co-owner Todd Boehly over a potential move, according to the Evening Standard, but a decision is yet to be made.

On Tuesday, the Ligue 1 giants replaced former boss Mauricio Pochettino with Galtier in their dugout, prompting questions about whether or not the Selecao talisman is in his plans for his first season in charge of PSG.

Speaking at a press conference following his appointment, the new Les Parisiens boss seemingly shared a contrasting view of Neymar to that reportedly held by the club.

"Which coach would not want to have him in their team?" the 55-year-old said, per Get French Football News.

"I have a very precise idea of what I expect from him. I haven't met him yet, I will, but I want him to stay with us.

"It's always better to have a player of that class with us."
