Nantes halt PSG's title celebrations

Nantes denied Paris Saint-Germain the chance to clinch the Ligue 1 title this evening, while Lazio boosted their top six aspirations with victory over Udinese.

Nantes 2-3 Paris Saint-Germain

Paris Saint-Germain failed to clinch the Ligue 1 title following a 3-2 defeat at hands of Nantes.

Thomas Tuchel's men had the chance to wrap up the title on Sunday but were thrashed 5-1 by seocnd-place Lille.

The visitors went in front after 19 minutes thanks to a superb strike from Dani Alves.

Nantes hit back through Diego Carlos in the 22nd minute before Abdul Majeed Waris completed the turnaround for the hosts just before the break.

Carlos then bagged his second and Nantes' third goal seven minutes in to the second half.

Metehan Guclu reduced the deficit for the visitors late in the half, but Nantes hung on for victory as as PSG's celebrations will have to wait a few more days.

Lazio 2-0 Udinese

Lazio remain in contention for a top-six finish after seeing off Udinese on Tuesday evening.

The hosts raced into the lead on 21 minutes before an own goal from Sandro three minutes later made it 2-0 to the home sie.

Udinese had a chance to pull a goal back on 51 minutes from the penalty spot, but Rodrigo de Paul failed to convert from 12-yards out.
