FC Barcelona have officially announced the signing of a former Chelsea star on a three-year deal.
On Sunday, club president Joan Laporta stated that the Blaugrana would announce the arrivals of free agents Franck Kessie and Andreas Christensen this week.
The Catalans have now officially acquired the Danish defender's services after he departed Stamford Bridge at the end of June.
"FC Barcelona and Andreas Bodtker Christensen have reached an agreement for the player to join the club after his contract with Chelsea came to an end," an official statement from the club's website read.
"The player will sign a contract until 30 June 2026 and his buy-out clause will be set at €500 million."
The 26-year-old left the Blues having won the FIFA Club World Cup in his final campaign in London, as well as the UEFA Champions League in the 2020/21 campaign.
