Another Arsenal signing has now been confirmed ahead of the 2022/23 season!
FC Porto have announced in a club statement that the Gunners are set to acquire the services of attacking midfielder Fabio Vieira on a five-year deal.
"Deal complete for amount of €40 million, and of these, €5 million are dependent on achievement of sports objectives," part of the statement reads.
The 22-year-old makes the switch to London shortly after the Premier League club confirmed the signing of Brazilian winger Marquinhos, while goalkeeper Matt Turner's move to the Emirates from MLS side New England Revolution on 1 July was confirmed earlier this year.
It is understood the London outfit have been tracking the Portugal U21 star for quite some time before finally agreeing the €35 million (R585 million), plus €5 million (R83 million) in add-ons, deal with Porto, a fee lower than the playmaker's reported release clause of €50 million (R835 million).
A highly-rated player with impressive technical skills, Vieira, who was named the Player of the Tournament at the 2021 UEFA European Under-21 Championship, scored seven goals and assisted a further 16 strikes for Porto last season.
With three deals now over the line, more arrivals are anticipated at the Emirates, with the Londoners reportedly also making headway in their bid to sign Manchester City star Gabriel Jesus.
