Big names snubbed for Spain squad

World News

There were a few notable absentees from Roberto Moreno's latest Spain squad for the upcoming 2020 European Champions qualifiers.

La Roja will do battle with Malta and Romania as they look to join the likes of Ukraine and Belgium in qualifying for next year's show-piece.

FC Barcelona's Jordi Alba, Koke, Diego Costa and Real Madrid star Isco were left out the squad, while 17-year-old Ansu Fati is yet to receive his first call-up.

Alvaro Morata and Paco Alcacer have earned re-calls to the side as Dinamo Zagreb winger Dani Olmo was called-up to the senior squad for the first time.
