Percy Tau was an unused substitute as Club Brugge returned to winning ways with a 2-0 victory over Zulte-Waregem at Regenboogstadion on Wednesday evening.

The Bafana Bafana international started from the bench as manager Philippe Clement made four changes,as Nigerian strikers, David Okerere and Emmauel Dennis lead their attack on the night.

Brugge had a slow start but they managed to break the deadlock in the 23rd minute courtesy of Okerere, who found the bottom with a shot from the centre of the box after he was setup by Ruud Vormer.

The visitors were nearly punished with three minutes remaining of the first half after Zulte-Waregem broke away on a counter-attack but they were saved by goalkeeper Simon Mignolet, who kept out Gianni Bruno's goal-bound header.

Brugge were struggling to find their rhythm early in the second stanza as Clement made his first change in the 66th minute by bringing on Mbaye Diagne in place of goalscorer Okerere, while Dennis was also withdrawn with 17 minutes remaining for Siebe Schrijvers.

Diagne wrapped up the the points for Brugge in stoppage time after firing a strike into the roof of the net after another assist by Vormer as Clement's men held on to top spot on the log.
