Tau's Brugge denied victory by Liege

Percy Tau's Club Brugge dropped points on home soil following a 1-1 draw with Standard Liege on Sunday afternoon.

Tau maintained his spot in the line-up following the 5-0 loss at the hands of Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League on Tuesday evening.

It was the visitors who got the early breakthrough, with Samuel Bastien firing past Simon Mignolet for his third league goal of the season.

Brugge enjoyed most of the possesion in the opening 45 minutes, but they were unable to register a single effort on target as the visitors' shot-stopper enjoyed a quiet half.

Unfortunately for Tau, his afternoon came to an end after 45 minutes as the Bafana Bafana forward made way for Mbayye Diange at the start of the second half.

Brugge were level shortly after the halftime break as Dennis Okereke found the back of the net with his fourth league goal of the campaign after being set up by Ruud Vormer.

While the home side did come out a different beast in the second half, they were unable to find another goal while Liege also struggled to carve out openings as the spoils were shared on the day.
