Bayern make final Ronaldo decision

World News

Bayern Munich have reportedly made their final decision regarding Manchester United's Cristiano Ronaldo, who is understood to be looking for a new club.

With the Portuguese forward desiring an exit from Old Trafford, a number of teams are reported to have been put on alert by the superstar's situation.

Here are the 10 best-paid players in football today, including Ronaldo!

His agent Jorge Mendes is said to have offered him to multiple clubs in Europe, including Bayern, Barcelona, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain and Napoli.

While Poland striker Robert Lewandowski continues to attempt to force a move away from the Allianz Arena, it was claimed that Ronaldo could be lined up as an ideal candidate to replace him at Bayern.

However, the Bavarians' chief executive officer Oliver Kahn has now shut down talk of any potential move for the veteran.

"As highly as I rate Cristiano Ronaldo as one of the greatest, a transfer wouldn't be a fit with our philosophy," former Germany international told Kicker.

This will be a blow for Ronaldo as the Bundesliga champions are one of the few major European sides who could afford his wages.

The 37-year-old is believed to earn more than £500 000 (R10 million) a week at United, but is reportedly willing to take a considerable pay cut to play for a team competing in next season's UEFA Champions League.
