With FC Barcelona seemingly making little headway in securing Erling Haaland's services, here are five striker alternatives the Blaugrana could sign instead!
The next transfer window could prove to be a blockbuster affair, with the likes of Kylian Mbappe and Paul Pogba, among others, having been linked with huge moves when their contracts expire at the end of the season.
The next window for Europe's top five leagues will officially open on 1 July, and Barca have already demonstrated signs that they will be very active in the market.

The LaLiga side has a well-known interest in Haaland, and according to Sport, the club has tried to convince the Borussia Dortmund man to sign for them through a meeting with manager Xavi Hernandez.
It is said the Spaniard explained to the Norwegian how he would become the best in the world at the Camp Nou, but a deal for the highly sought-after striker could prove difficult due to the better offers he has reportedly received from elsewhere.
Five names have thus emerged as possible alternatives, including Germany talent Karim Adeyemi.
The Red Bull Salzburg youngster was believed to be on the Catalans' radar following his impressive displays in the Austrian Bundesliga, where he has registered 15 goals and two assists in 22 matches this season.
However, reports from Germany suggest that the 20-year-old is now more likely to join BVB next season, although it is unclear if he would be brought in as a replacement for Haaland at Signal Iduna Park.
Real Sociedad forward Alexander Isak, who has attracted interest from Arsenal and more recently Manchester United, is also a potential target, but his club values him at £60 million (R1.1 billion), per the Daily Star, a figure that could prove too high for the Spanish giants.
Two forwards based in the German top flight, Patrik Schick and Andre Silva, are also understood to be potential options, with the pair valued at €40 million (R664 million) or lower, per Transfermarkt. The Bayer Leverkusen and RB Leipzig marksmen have scored 20 and 15 goals in 2021/22, respectively.
The list is completed by coveted Uruguayan goal-poacher Darwin Nunez, who has netted 25 times in 32 matches so far for Benfica this season. However, Xavi's side would have to beat Newcastle United to his signature, with the Magpies leading the race to sign him for £60 million (R1.1 billion) in the next window, according to the Daily Mirror.
