Sudan 4-0 Sao Tome E Principe

Sudan hammered Sao Tome E Principe 4-0 in a Group C opening clash at the National Stadium in Khartoum, with the visitors finishing ten men.

Goals from Ramadan Agab, Hano Eltetsh, Ali Shiboub and Jordao Diogo (OG) gave the hosts a superb start.

Guinea-Bissau’s road to Cameroon in two years time got off to a positive start after a 3-0 victory over Eswatini in Group I at home.

Jorginho, Piqueti making and Mario secured the goals for the home side.

Central African Republic 2-0 Burundi

Central African Republic put their campaign off to a solid start following a 2-0 victory over Burundi at the Barthelemy Boganda Stadium.

Vianney Mabide opened the scoring on five minutes before Louis Mafouta sealed the win right at the death.

Malawi 1-0 Sudan

Malawi enjoyed a positive start in their pursuit to end their hiatus from the showpiece event after a 1-0 win in Group B over Sudan.

After a scoreless first half, the Flames hit the winner on 68 minutes through Gabadinho Mhango.

Namibia 2-1 Chad

Namibia moved to the top of Group A with a hard-fought 2-1 victory Chad at the National Stadium in Windhoek.
