Atletico Madrid maintained their unbeaten start in Group D after a narrow victory over Bundesliga outfit Bayer Leverkusen.

Los Rojiblancos got their first win on match-day two with a 2-0 triumph over Lokomotiv Moscow in Russia, while Leverkusen lost their two opening encounters.

It became three straight lossess for the Bundesliga outfit after Alvaro Morata netted the game's only goal in the 78th minute to send Atletico top temporarily.

Shakhtar Donetsk 2-2 Dinamo Zagreb

Dinamo Zagreb cemented second spot in Group C after playing to a 2-2 draw away to Shakhtar Donetsk on Tuesday evening.

The home side got off the perfect start after Yevhen Konoplyanka opened the scoring after 16 minutes with his first in the tournament.

Dinamo were back on level terms just over 10 minutes later when Daniel Olmo fired past Andriy Pyatov after being picked out by Mislav Orsic.

Orsic then grabbed a goal to go with his assist after converting a penalty on the hour mark, however Dodo ensured the spoils were shared after Shakhtar's equaliser on 75 minutes.
