Borussia Dortmund made it two from two in Group C with a 1-0 win over Sporting Lisbon.
Netherlands international Donyell Malen scored the only goal of the game in the 37th minute as the Borussians sit second behind Ajax Amsterdam on goal difference also on six points.
Porto 1-5 Liverpool
The goals continue to flow for Liverpool at present as they thrashed Porto 5-1 at Estadio do Dragao.
The front three of the Reds wreaked havoc with Mohamed Salah (18', 60') and Roberto Firmino (77', 81') grabbing braces and Mane (45') also getting in on the act. Mehdi Taremi netted Porto's solitary goal.
Real Madrid 1-2 Sheriff
Real Madrid suffered the biggest shock of their recent Champions League history when they were beaten 2-1 by Moldovan minnows Sheriff FC.
Jasurbek Yakhshiboev broke the deadlock in the 25th minute before Karim Benzema equalised from the spot in the 65th minute. However, with a minute of regular time remaining, Sebastien Thill popped up to give Sheriff a historic victory.
AC Milan 1-2 Atletico Madrid
Luis Suarez scored in the seventh minute of stoppage time to hand Atletico Madrid a 2-1 victory over 10-man AC Milan at San Siro.
It was all going well for the Rossoneri, who took the lead through Rafael Leao with 20 minutes gone. Franck Kessie was sent off in the 29th minute and Milan held firm until a late double salvo from Antoine Griezmann (84') and Suarez completed a dramatic turnaround.
RB Leipzig 1-2 Club Brugge
Club Brugge continued their brilliant start to their UEFA Champions League campaign with a 2-1 victory over RB Leipzig.
After defying the odds to hold Paris Saint-Germain to a 1-1 draw, Brugge were not willing to rest on their laurels.
After going a goal down to Christopher Nkunku's fifth-minute strike, the Belgian outfit fought back valiantly through Hans Vanaken (22') and Mats Rits (41').
