In a largely successful long weekend for South Africa's foreign-based stars, Percy Tau and Darren Smith both found themselves on the scoresheet, while Tashreeq Matthews picked up another assist.
On Monday morning, Tau made his first appearance for Anderlecht since signing for the club on a season-long loan last week Wednesday, and marked his unofficial debut in style with a well-taken goal during a friendly victory over Lommel SK.
There was also pre-season action for Abrahams, who delivered a standout performance for second division club Westerlo in their 4-2 win over Knokke. After playing an instrumental role in his side's opening goal, the 23-year-old registered an assist for their second before going close to getting his own name on the scoresheet late on in the encounter.
Tau and Abrahams weren't the only South Africans to feature in Belgium over the long weekend, with Bafana Bafana shot-stopper Darren Keet featuring in goal as OH Leuven opened their 2020/21 Jupiler Pro League campaign with a 1-1 draw against KAS Eupen.

Tashreeq Matthews & Luke Le Roux
Matthews, on loan from Borussia Dortmund, and Le Roux both featured in Varberg's 3-3 draw with Sirius in Sweden on Monday, with the former recording the assist for his side's opening goal on the night. The result was Varberg's sixth match without victory and saw the club drop to ninth in the league standings, just five points above the relegation zone.
In South Korea, Bafana Bafana striker Veldwijk made his fourth consecutive substitute appearance for Suwon, coming on in the second half of the second division side's 2-0 defeat to Bucheon 1995 on Sunday.
Earlier in the morning, former Kaizer Chiefs star George Lebese took to the pitch in the United States but was unable to prevent his Colorado Springs Switchbacks side from succumbing to a 4-2 defeat at the hands of El Paso Locomotive.
Darren Smith & Ayabulela Konqobe
Smith continued his fine form in front of goal in Finland when he netted his fifth strike in eight appearances during Ekenas' 2-1 win over Gnistan. The former SuperSport United striker was not the only South African in action, though, with Konqobe also playing the full 90 minutes for the promotion-chasing outfit.
