The 33-year-old, who joined Ayanda Dlamini's side at the start of the season from Orlando Pirates, beat off competition from Masandawana star Andile Jali, Buccaneers vice-captain Ntsikelelo Nyauza and Chippa United's hat-trick hero Bienvenu Eva Nga to claim the accolade.

Memela's match-winning performance for AmaZulu ultimately earned him 31.82% of the more-than-7 000 votes that were cast by Kickoff.com readers, earning him this week's award.
