Having recently announced his latest France squad, manager Didier Deschamps has discussed the absence of Manchester United’s in-form striker Anthony Martial.
The Frenchman named his 23-man squad for their upcoming 2020 European qualifiers last week, with the likes of Samuel Umtiti, Ousmane Dembele and Martial missing out.

Asked about the United forward’s absence from the squad despite his recent form, Deschamps suggested the 23-year-old is still in his plans.
"He was part of the French team on a regular basis, but recently he was often injured," he said, as per Manchester Evening News.
"He came back not so long ago and it's going well in his role as a central striker with Manchester United.
"For a long time he's been part of the players likely to be called up."
Since his return from injury, Martial has scored three goals and assisted two more in seven matches.
