Zidane: The players are playing with pain

Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane says his players playing with pain again after their El Clasico victory in the Spanish capital.

Goals from Karim Benzema and Toni Kroos guided Los Blancos to victory and top spot in LaLiga on Saturday evening.

The defending champions already have Sergio Ramos, Raphael Varane and Eden Hazard out, but they also lost the services of Lucas Vazquez in the first half.

“There are players with pain again,” Zidane said after the game, as per Goal.

“I don't know how we are going to end the season but we are going to need everyone because we are physically at the limit. It's hard for us to finish the games. But we are here and we are alive.

“We are going to rest well and we are going to see how to do it, how to rest better, and then prepare for Wednesday's game.”

Los Blancos have now picked up wins over Liverpool and their Clasico rivals this week, but Frenchman insists there is a long way to go.

“Nothing's going to change,” Zidane said. "A lot is still ahead. But you have to enjoy today and the next day what we did, because it was two very hard-fought games. We got two good results.”
