'I will retire at Barcelona'

With a lot of uncertainly surrounding FC Barcelona, one star has revealed he wants to retire at the Catalan giants.

After a stint in England with Manchester United, Gerard Pique returned to the Camp Nou in 2009 under Pep Guardiola.

Since then, the Spanish defender has notched up 553 appearances and has won numerous trophies, including three UEFA Champions League titles.

"I will retire at Barca. I've always said that,” Pique told streamer Ibai Llanos.

“I play football because I'm representing Barca. I don't see myself on another team. I wouldn't have the motivation, it would be a drama."

Pique also claimed that Lionel Mess is very happy at the Camp Nou, with the Argentine's contract expiring at the end of the season.

"Events happened in the summer that ended in the best possible way because Leo stayed at Barca,” he added.

“I see him very happy right now and having him by my side is a guarantee of success."
