FC Barcelona have officially confirmed an African international as their first signing ahead of the 2022/23 season.
The Catalan giants have signed Franck Kessie as a free agent after his deal at AC Milan expired at the end of the 2021/22 season.
The Ivorian finished up a five-season spell at Milan on a high, helping the club to its first Scudetto in over a decade.
The midfielder has agreed to a four-year contract in Spain, and will receive a net annual salary of €6.5m (R110 million), not including bonuses, according to The Guardian.
Kessie will also have a buyout clause of €500 million (R8.4 billion) in his deal with the Blaugrana.
