Barca's 'secret meeting' with super-agent

FC Barcelona have reportedly held a "secret meeting" with super-agent Mino Raiola to discuss the availability of some of his clients, including Erling Haaland and Paul Pogba.

With the January transfer window now only two weeks away, some clubs have seemingly already begun talks with the agents of their respective targets regarding potential moves, and it appears the Catalan giants have followed suit.

According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Raiola met with Barca's director of football Mateu Alemany and president Joan Laporta in a secret meeting on Monday, after the Blaugrana chiefs had flown to Italy to accompany their young midfielder Pedri as he picked up his 2021 Golden Boy trophy from Tuttosport.

A number of players were discussed in this meeting, according to Marca, with Borussia Dortmund sensation Haaland chief among them as Laporta took the opportunity to fully understand what his transfer situation will be in June 2022.

Another Raiola client who is linked with a move away from his current club, Pogba, was also mentioned. Many reports suggest that the midfielder could soon leave Manchester United as his contract is set to expire at the end of this campaign, and the LaLiga giants seemingly remain interested in securing his signature.

Barca are reportedly also keeping tabs on two more of Raiola's clients in Paris Saint-Germain's Xavi Simons and Ajax Amsterdam defender Noussair Mazraoui.

The duo could be free agents in June next year if they choose not to renew their deals with their respective sides.
