Bafana Bafana forward Percy Tau has secured a consecutive Player of the Season award with the 2018/19 Proximus League honour.
According to the Jupiler League, Tau enjoyed a landslide victory at the awards ceremony in Belgium on Monday evening - with 228 votes he ousted Mechelen winger Nikola Storm (89) and teammate Faïz Selemani who received 84.
It marks his second consecutive Player of the Season title after the clean sweep in South Africa in the 2017/18 season as he lifted the Lesley Manyathela award, PSL Player of the Season and Players Player of the Season with Mamelodi Sundowns.
Having been sent out on loan to the Belgain second-tier from Premier League side Brighton and Hove Albion due to work permit issues, his future will naturally come into question over where he will play his football next season.
The 25-year-old scored six goals and registered seven assists in 23 league games for Royale Union Saint Gilloise.
