Ligue 1: PSG crush spirited Lyon

Paris Saint-Germain 4-2 Olympique Lyon

Paris Saint-Germain extended their unbeaten run to 21 matches across all competitions with a 4-2 beating of Olympique Lyon.

Thomas Tuchel's men signalled their dominance from the onset as Angel di Maria and Kylian Mbappe made it 2-0 before Fernando Marçal netted into his own net to extend the lead.

There were hopes of a Lyon comeback when Martin Terrier and Moussa Dembele reduced the deficit with strikes in the 52nd and 59th minute respectively.

However, Edinson Cavani ended any hopes of a comeback with only his second league goal of the season with 11 minutes remaining.

Montpellier 1-0 Saint-Etienne

Montpellier got their top-four push back on track with a 1-0 success over relegation-threatened Saint-Etienne on Sunday.

The home side only needed one goal to get the job done on the day, with Algeria international Andy Delort netting his ninth league goal of the season on 25 minutes.

The victory did come at a cost after Salomon Sambia was sent off in the first half.

The win sees Montpellier move up to fifth spot, three points behind the top four while Saint-Etienne find themselves in 15th spot.

Strasbourg 3-0 Reims

Strasbourg made light work of Reims after romping to a 3-0 victory on Sunday evening.

Alexander Djiku opened the scoring after 50 minutes, before Abdul Majeed Waris and Kenny Lala netted in the final 10 minutes to round off a good win.
