Ozil to bid farewell to Arsenal teammates

English Premier League

Mesut Ozil is reportedly set to bid farewell to his Arsenal teammates today ahead of his move to Turkish outfit Fenerbahce.

Reports broke on Saturday that German midfielder had reached an agreement with the Gunners to terminate his contract after waiving the remaining £7million salary of his deal.

The decision will allow Ozil to join Turkish Super Lig giants Fenerbahce on a free transfer this month as he looks to get back on the pitch.

The Sun have now reported that Ozil will say goodbye to his teammates at the London Colney training ground on Sunday before heading to Turkey to conclude his move.

The 2014 World Cup winner recently revealed he grew up as a Fenerbahce supporter when he was a kid in Germany.

“I grew up as a Fenerbahce fan as a kid in Germany," he said in Twitter Q&A.

“Fenerbahce is like Real Madrid in Spain. The biggest club in the country.”
