Chelsea identify Lampard replacement?

English Premier League

Chelsea have reportedly identified a replacement for Frank Lampard should things get worse for the Blues.

The Blues currently sit in ninth position in the Premier League standings, five points adrift of the top four after five defeats in their last eight encounters.

It seems the man who masterminded the Foxes' win over Chelsea, Brendan Rodgers, has been touted as a potential replacement for Lampard.

The Mirror have reported that Rodgers would be tempted by a return to Stamford Bridge but will only make the move next season.

Ahead of Sunday's FA Cup tie against Luton Town, Lampard insists he does not pay attention to the noise surrounding his job.

"I don't listen to it. It's only everywhere if you want to scroll through social media or something, but I don't do that," Lampard told reporters as per Goal.

"I'm not stupid, I know the pressures that come with managing a top football club, but I just do my job, it doesn't matter to me."
