Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola admits Premier League leaders Liverpool can break their points record this season.
The Citizens became the first side in Premier League history to reach 100 points after winning the league last season.
Liverpool are on course to reach that tally having already registered an impressive 67 points from a possible 69 this campaign.
While the Reds looks set to claim their first-ever Premier League crown, Guardiola feels their title rivals could clinch the record points tally as well.
"Yeah it can happen. Records are there to be broken," Guardiola said, as per Liverpool Echo.
"We broke it when someone said we couldn’t and sooner or later it will be broken again.
"History speaks clearly about that. It is not easy to beat Liverpool, they have found a way to win games."
