Pep: It's not about me vs Tuchel

English Premier League

Pep Guardiola says Manchester City's clash with Chelsea is not a contest between himself and Thomas Tuchel.

Tuchel has beaten Guardiola in his last three attempts since joining the Blues, including the 1-0 win in the UEFA Champions League final back in May.

The Citizens will be aiming to end Chelsea's unbeaten start to the Premier League season while a win for City could take them closer to the summit of the table.

Guardiola was criticised for his tatcics in the Champions League final, but the Spaniar insists the focus must be on the teams.

"Not so long ago, there were a lot of voices who told me that I don't know how to beat Pep," Guardiola said, as per Sky Sports News.

"Anyway, it's not between me and him.

"We don't play a match of tennis or a match of chess tomorrow, we play with our teams, and the teams and clubs compete against each other on a very high level."
