Pep and Salah win monthly awards

English Premier League

Guardiola won the prize for a record third consecutive month after the log leaders won all four of their matches against Arsenal, Leicester, Huddersfield and Southampton.

Salah, the first Egyptian to win the player accolade, scored seven times in four games last month and currently leads the scoring charts with 13 goals ahead of Harry Kane and Sergio Aguero.

The 25-year-old hit braces in victories over West Ham, Southampton and Stoke, and was on target in a draw with Chelsea.

The Reds find themselves fifth on the table after 17 games, level on points with fourth-placed Tottenham and they travel to Bournemouth on Sunday.
