Before the Blues' victory over Slavia Praha in the UEFA Europa League on Thursday, Giroud expressed his unhapiness about playing second fiddle to Gonzalo Higuain.

The Frenchman's contract comes to an end at the end of the season, and he has revealed he has offers from other clubs.

However, the Blues boss insists the 32-year-old is going nowhere next season after asking the club to exerise the one-year option to extend.

He is sure, because the club has an option for another year, another season," Sari was quoted as saying by Sky Sports.

"I spoke to the club two days ago and we agreed to exercise the option.

"So, he will remain."
