Man Utd star 'considers' shock exit

English Premier League

A Manchester United star is reportedly considering leaving after growing unhappy with his game-time under Ralf Rangnick.

The German coach started Anthony Elanga ahead of Marcus Rashford in the Manchester Derby on Sunday with the 24-year-old eventually coming on as a substitute in the 64th minute as Paul Pogba made way for him.

According to Fabrizio Romano, Rashford's recent time on the bench has led to the forward giving serious consideration for the first time to ask for a move away from Old Trafford.

The winger is believed to be unhappy with his game time after starting in two of the team’s 11 Premier League matches since 27 December 2021. Rashford’s contract is due to expire at the end of the 2022/23 season although the club reportedly has an option to extend for a further year.

With Rangnick expected to leave at the end of this season, the star may change his mind about his current situation and there remains no guarantee that United will allow the player to leave if he submitted a transfer request.

The England international has previously been linked with a move to Paris Saint-Germain as the Ligue 1 side reportedly identified him as a replacement if Kylian Mbappe leaves at the end of his contract.
