Utd's 10 highest earners after Varane deal

English Premier League

With Manchester United finally completing the transfer of Raphael Varane, here is an updated look at the club's highest earners this season.

After weeks of waiting, Varane was unveiled to the United supporters before their Premier League opener against Leeds United on Saturday afternoon.

Varane is United's third signing of the current transfer window after signing a four-year deal that will see him earn a reported £197-000-a-week at Old Trafford.

However, World Cup winner is nowhere near to being the Red Devils' highest earner as that tag belongs to goalkeeper David de Gea who is said to be earning £375 000-a-week.

The Spaniard's future long-term future remains unclear with Dean Henderson at the club, but some reports suggest it would be tough to find a suitor who would be able to afford his salary.

Fellow new signing Jadon Sancho comes in at second on the list after signing a long-term deal last month that will see him earn a reported £350 000-a-week.

Paul Pogba rounds out the top three while Varane does feature in the top 10 along with Bruno Fernandes and Harry Maguire.
