Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has seemingly given a hint on Paul Pogba's future at the club after speaking to the France star.
According to the Daily Express, the United boss is optimistic that Pogba will sign a contract extension within the coming 12 months, so much so that the club is running the risk of losing the France star for free next year if he does not do so.
The midfielder's future has been the talk of the town, but the player is yet to comment on whether or not he plans to leave Old Trafford in this window, despite reports suggesting that he has declined a new contract offer amid interest from French giants Paris Saint-Germain.
Nevertheless, United boss Solskjaer appears confident about the Frenchman's situation at the club, insisting that the discussions he has had with the player, who has also been linked with Real Madrid and Juventus, have been reassuring.
"I hope every player thinks this is the place to be to win trophies," the Norwegian said, according to the Daily Star.
"When you sign for Manchester United, you have to rise to the challenge.
"Paul has come back, and he's fresh and he's always such a positive boy.
"The talks I've had with him have all been positive."
