The Nigerian international scored in either half at King Power Stadium as the Foxes progressed to the fourth round of the FA Cup, although it was his second goal 13 minutes from time which required the help of the video assistant referee.
Referee Jonathan Moss requested the intervention of VAR to determined whether Iheanacho was offside before firing home Riyad Mahrez's reverse-pass assist, with replays showing the forward was, indeed, onside.
"I didn't know if I was onside or offside but I agree totally now that I was onside," Iheanacho told BT Sport.
"I was concentrating on the goal, I didn't think if I was onside or offside but Riyad (Mahrez) told me that I was onside.
"We just waited to see what the decision was."
