Klopp labels Origi 'legend' after heroics

English Premier League

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp had some high praise for match-winner Divock Origi on Saturday evening.

The Belgian scored in the final minutes of second-half stoppage time to earn the Reds a 1-0 win over Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Klopp labelled the "superb-sub" a legend and is pleased to see him contributing from the bench.

"He is a legend," said Klopp while discussing Origi. "People will write books about him, hopefully. If not then I’ll do it. He's such a great player, a great guy.

"It’s a good moment, coming on and contributing like he did today, scoring that goal – outstanding. I’m really, really happy for him."

Origi says his late heroics at Wolves is something that ties in the six-time European champions.

"I think that ties in with the values of the club – keep believing, keep going," Origi told Liverpool's official website after the game.

"In the end you can only control the moment you are in and just try to make the right play every time again, even if you fail again and again."
