Gundogan: Man City will respond

English Premier League

The Citizens were unable to complete what would have been a stunning comeback at Anfield on Sunday as they suffered their first domestic loss of the campaign after going down 4-3 against the Reds.

However, City still hold a 12-point lead at the top of the standings and Gundogan says the team will learn valuable lessons from their Merseyside capitulation as they go in search of the top-flight crown.

"It is in our own hands. There is a gap, quite a comfortable gap still, but there are still a lot of games to play," he said.

"We need to learn now, especially from those 10 minutes when we were not fully there.

"I am quite sure that we will and then we are going to bounce back and find again, 100 per cent, our way. I am sure that it is then nearly impossible to stop us."
