Spurs' woes deepen after shock draw

Tottenham Hotspur 1-1 Sheffield United

Tottenham Hotspur's winlss run in the extended Premier League extended to five matches after they were held to a 1-1 draw by Sheffield United at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

After a score-less first stanza, Son Heung-Min broke the deadlock for Spurs two minutes before the hour-mark. Sheffield thought they had levelled matters shortly after but the Video Assistant Referee spotted an offside, with the United attacker offside by inches.

However, George Baldock salvaged a point for Sheffield with the equaliser 12 minutes before time.

Southampton 1-2 Everton

Everton got back to winning ways with a 2-1 victory away to Southampton.

Tom Davies's early opener for the Toffees was cancelled out by Danny Ings early in the second stanza for the Saints, but Richarlison netted the winner for Marco Silva's men to seal off the three points with 15 minutes remaining.

Newcastle United 2-1 Bournemouth

Newcastle United came from behind to beat Bournemouth 2-1 at St. James' Park.

Harry Wilson got the opener for the Cherries in the 14th minute with a neat free-kick.

The Magpies rallied back to equalise through DeAndre Yedlin just before the break, while Ciaran Clark got the winner seven minutes after the break.

Burnley 3-0 West Ham United

Burnley ended their three-game losing streak in the Premier League by thrashing West Ham United 3-0 at Turf Moor.

Ashley Barnes got an early goal for the Clarets and the second goal fromm Chris Wood just before the break and an own goal by Roberto Jimenez nine minutes after the break sealed the three points for Sean Dyche's troops.
