Gunners see off Everton

Everton were the more enterprising side before a quick two -goal streak in the second half handed Arsenal a fourth consecutive victory.

In the 12th minute, Nacho Monreal found his way inside the 18-yard area before bringing the best out of Everton goalkeeper Jordan Pickford.

Richarlison dribbled his way towards the edge of the box before unleashing long strike which was thwarted by Petr Cech with 20 minutes into the first half.

On the 30th minute, mark Digne struck a curling free kick towards goal and was tipped over by Cech as the visitors continued to push.

Richarlison was lively all half as another dribble run saw him land inside the box only his to be tipped over by Cech in the 44th minute.

The first opportunity of the second half fell to Aaron Ramsey, whose tame shot was gobbled up by Pickford.

Against the run of play, Alexandre Lacazette curled a venomous effort via the upright into the back of the net after 56 minutes to put the Gunners ahead.

Two minutes later, Pierre-Emerick Aubamayeng easily tapped in a counter attacking move involving Mesut Ozil and Aaron Ramsey.

Michael Keane got his head onto a Sigurdson free-kick but the defender’s effort was too close to Cech with 20 minutes remaining.

The end of 90 minutes arrived and two quick fire goals by the home side earned them a valuable three points which extended their winning run to four matches.
