England and Leeds United star Kalvin Philipps has been warned about against moving to Premier League champions Manchester City.
The 26-year-old has reportedly emerged as a transfer target for Pep Guardiola, who is looking to replace the out-going Fernandinho.
The Premier League champions have reported already submitted a bid for the English midfielder, but former City full-back Danny Mills feels he won't get the same amount of game time due to Rodri's presence.
“He’ll probably play 20 games or so? He’s not Rodri’s standard yet, Rodri’s different class," Mills told talkSPORT.
“I remember watching Rodri when he first came in to the football club and thinking ‘wow’.”
“I’m not saying Kalvin Phillips will get found out because he’s a very good player, but going to Manchester City with the intensity and the expectation of having to win every single week is next level."
Philipps only racked up 20 appearances in the Premier League last season, although he was one of the Leeds players who had struggled with injury.
