Less than a year after becoming Chelsea's club-record signing, Romelu Lukaku's exit from Stamford Bridge for the 2022/23 campaign has now officially been confirmed.
The Belgian returns to Inter Milan on a one-year loan deal after the two clubs agreed on the move just 11 months after the Nerazzurri sold the striker to the Blues for £97.5 million (R1.9 billion).

According to reports, the Serie A side will pay £10.4 million (R204 million) for the striker's services next season, which is made up of a loan fee of £6.9 million (R135 million), plus £3.5 million (R68 million) in bonuses.
Lukaku is also said to have agreed to a 30% pay cut to make the move happen, with his earnings reportedly set to drop from £10 million (R196 million) a year after tax to £7 million (R137 million).
