Bayern open talks with Sane?

Bayern Munich have opened discussions with Manchester City over the potential off-season transfer of Leroy Sané, according to reports in England.

Sané, 23, has developed into one of the most fearsome wingers in European football since joining the Citizens from Schalke in 2016.

Under the tutelage of Pep Guardiola, the Germany international has flourished into a explosive left-winger after initially playing as an inside forward in the Bundesliga.

However, Sane has been questioned for his temperament in recent months and was often benched during crucial games during the latter stages of the season.

And according to the Daily Record, Bayern have tested City's resolve and have been granted permission to speak to Sané's representatives with a view to agreeing contractual terms.

With the speedy winger rejecting a several new contract offers at the Premier League champions - it's been claimed the chances of his is increasing.

City's director of football Txiki Begiristian is said to be uneasy on the idea of the player running down his contract and transfer value and are hoping to convince him to commit to the club first before the option of Bayern's proposal.

Sané has scored 39 goals and registered 45 assists in 132 games since arriving at the Etihad in a deal worth a reported £45.45m.
