Arsenal star reveals rift with Aubameyang

Arsenal defender Gabriel has revealed a big reason that played a part in Pierre-Emerick Aubemayang leaving the club last month.

Aubameyang was axed from the Gunners squad in December last year for a disciplinary breach that also lead to him losing the captain's armband.

The Gabon striker ended up parting ways with the North London outfit in January before joining Barcelona on a free transfer.

However, Gabriel has revealed their was an incident with the coaching staff that played a part in the 32-year-old ending his five-year stay in London.

"Aubameyang is in my heart, we all wanted him at Arsenal," former Lille defender Gabriel told Ohmygoal, a per football.london.

"It's something that happened between him and the coaching staff, the other players weren't in it.

"I said goodbye to him before he left, I hope he enjoys Barcelona, he is a very nice person with a big heart and I love him very much."
