The England international played a starring role in Wednesday’s electric encounter against Chelsea at the Emirates Stadium, hammering home the opening goal in a 2-2 draw - his first top-flight goal since 2015.
However, the midfielder says he is no closer to signing fresh terms in north London, where his current contract expires at the end of the season.
When asked about any developments regarding a new contract, Wilshere told Sky Sports: “No progress there.
“But I’m happy. I’m enjoying my football and feel I’m getting better and better each week.
“We’ve got another big game at the weekend in the FA Cup [against Nottingham Forest] and then we go again in the Carabao Cup [against Chelsea] – there’s loads of games and I want to be involved in them.”
