The Frenchman has endured limited game time since his arrival in north London in 2014, having even been loaned out to Bordeaux last year after Hector Bellerin made the right-back position his own.

A series of injuries also derailed his career with the Gunners but, after proving his fitness in six cup appearances this term, the 32-year-old is hoping to move on in the New Year.

“I want to leave, to find a new challenge in January,” said Debuchy. “The fact I’m playing well will give me opportunities.

“We’ll see if there are good opportunities in the transfer window. I’m open.”
