Arsenal dealt PSG transfer blow

English Premier League

Arsenal have seemingly been dealt a blow in their pursuit of a Paris Saint-Germain left-back Layvin Kurzawa.

Reports in England claim that the Gunners were closing in on a move for Kurzawa, who is second choice at the Ligue 1 champions.

However, PSG manager Thomas Tuchel has now revealed that he will be using the Frenchman as the fixtures come thick and fast.

"I haven't spoken with Layvin or anyone else about his departure this winter," he said, as per Get French Football.

"Layvin is number two behind [Juan] Bernat in the left-back position. We need him and Layvin will play tomorrow (Sunday) against Lorient. He has played well recently."

When asked about possible incomings this month, Tuchel added: "We are playing with full-backs that are not full-backs.

"They are wingers or central midfielders and could we afford to lose full-backs? No, but we don’t have any full-backs."
