With Arsenal reportedly ready to offer manager Mikel Arteta a new deal, here are the best-paid head coaches in the English top flight!
It was reported earlier this week that the Gunners are getting prepared to hand the Spaniard a new contract worth £8.3 million (R171 million) a year – said to be the same annual salary Arsene Wenger earned in his final year with the London club.
However, while it is a tidy sum, that figure would see Arteta, who is said to currently be earning £5 million (R102 million) a year, become only the fifth-best-paid manager in England.

It will not come as a surprise to many that Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp is among the three highest-earning bosses in the EPL, earning a staggering £16 million (R329 million) annual salary, per The Sun.
The German has been one of the league's more successful coaches in recent years, having led the Reds to their 19th Premier League trophy in the 2019/20 campaign, as well as their sixth UEFA Champions League title in 2018/19.
The Reds' Merseyside rivals Everton, meanwhile, appointed Frank Lampard as their new boss at the end of January on a two-and-a-half-year contract until June 2024.
The former Chelsea head coach is understood to be on a salary worth £5 million (R103 million) a year, the same as Arteta, West Ham United's David Moyes and Aston Villa manager Steven Gerrard.
Lampard's replacement at Stamford Bridge Thomas Tuchel is, perhaps surprisingly, outside the five best-paid coaches in the league, with his £7 million (R144 million) yearly earnings are only enough to make him the seventh-best-paid manager in England.
Manchester United's interim boss Ralf Rangnick, who could yet get the job on a permanent basis, is said to be on an annual income of £8 million (R164 million) – scroll through the gallery up top to see who has the biggest pay cheque in the division!
