After looking at the Premier League's richest owners, we now take a look at the richest owners in the world football which is dominated by the English top flight.

The Premier League is reportedly set to welcome another billionaire group, with Public Investment Fund (PIF) led by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman close to taking over Newcastle United.

Salman could now apparently be seen as the richest owner in the league if he does take over at the Magpies, as he believed to be worth £260-billion.

However, according to Business Insider, member of the Royal Famil of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mansour is the wealthiest owner in the work, with the Manchester City owner's worth sitting at $30-bn.

Coming in at second is the co-founder of the Red Bull energy drink Dietrich Mateschitz, who is affiliated with New York Red Bulls, RB Leipzig and Red Bull Salzburg. His is reported to be worth $19.5-bn.

The podium is rounded out by Juventus' long-time owners, the Agnelli family, who became majority owners in 1967 after being involved with the club since 1923. The chairman Andrea Agnelli is believed to be worth $13.5-bn.

Fourth on the list is Russian billionare Roman Abramovic who took over at Chelsea in 2004 and made the club a European powerhouse. His worth is said to be $12.4-bn.

The top five is completed by LA Galaxy owner Philip Anschutz who is reported to be worth $10 billion while there are few familiar faces in the rest of the top 10, so check the gallery to find out the final five.
