Vita held by Setif in Champs League Final

CAF Champions League

In a see-saw contest, Chikito Lema Mabidi bagged a brace for the hosts, while Setif struck through an own goal from Ndombe Mubele and effort from Akram Djahnit.

Setif took the lead in the 17th minute when Mubele, joint top scorer in this year's competition with six goals, headed the ball into his own net at the Stade Tata Raphael.

The hosts drew level just before the break via a Mabidi penalty, after Mohamed Lagraa was adjudged to have handled in the box.

Setif went back in front in the 57th minute thanks to a composed finish from Djahnit.

However, Mabidi equalised 20 minutes later with a stunning 30-yard strike.

The return duel is in Algeria on Saturday, with the victor set to pocket $1.5-million in prize money as well as a spot at the Club World Cup in Morocco in December.
